Wrap Around Extension

O’Connor Ville, Cork City

This project for a young couple, seeks to refurbish an existing city centre house which is not suitable for modern day living. Our proposals seek to re-orientate the living spaces to take best advantage of the garden views and to maximise the use of southerly light for natural heat gain.

The proposal seek to remove the existing sub-standard extensions and rationalise the plan of the house. The new extension wraps around the rear and side of the house and contains a new living area and kitchen. Proposals include the renewal of windows and external doors and the application of external render system to reduce heat loss. This project was completed in 2015.
